Dr. Henry Barker (Hank) is currently serving as Chair of the Accounting, Finance and Economics Department of Tiffin University with primary professional interest in risk mitigation via use of derivatives. Hank has held a number of responsible positions in academia as well as private business. Included in the latter is seven years experience in a large ($8 billion) corporation where he served as Chief Information Officer, five years as Chief Operating Officer of a medium sized (approximately $25 MM) technical services firm, and ownership of his own consulting and technology firm for approximately twelve years. His work as CIO received national recognition (the Management Sciences Achievement Award by the Operations Research Society of America) and his consulting and technology firm was recognized for its pioneering work in electronic transmission and settlement of claims. At the time Hank sold his company, it was the twelfth largest such firm in volume in the United States.
